Over 50s, Trans, Non-binary and Intersex (TNBI) Storytelling Session
3:00 pm, Thursday 4th June 2026
Location: The Old Courthouse, 118 Church St, Brighton
Tickets: Free, booking essential
Join LGBTQIA+ community archiving project Queer Heritage South and drama facilitator Noah Abdel Razek, (he/him) for a creative storytelling workshop focused on trans, non-binary, and intersex (TNBI) histories. In partnership with the Clare Project.
Everyone has a story to tell, and this session provides a starting point to thinking about your story and its importance to TNBI history in Brighton & Hove. In the workshop we will use drama, movement and storytelling to explore aspects of our histories, such as finding community and joy. We’ll then build collaborative stories which represent key moments in our TNBI histories. These collaborative stories might be entirely fictional or based on personal experiences.
This will be a gentle, supportive space and no previous experience of theatre, movement, storytelling or performance is needed. All the activities are optional and adaptable.
The session is led by Noah Abdel Razek (he/him), an experienced community theatre facilitator. It is facilitated by Queer Heritage South and the Clare Project. The workshop is open to all those who are trans, non-binary, intersex or gender-questioning and age 50 or over.
The workshop is free to attend, booking is required, and refreshments will be provided.
The Old Courtroom is a wheelchair accessible venue. If you have any access requirements or questions please contact archive@marlboroughproductions.org.uk
